How often should/can I submit my site?
You can submit all you like.  But as a general rule, it is  good idea to resubmit your site(s) on a monthly basis.

Do the engines change?
YES!  They are constantly changing.  We add new ones regularly, and we remove expired ones regularly.  We suggest that you resubmit your site(s) at least every couple of months.

How much do resubmissions cost?
We offer a significant discount for resubmissions!  Resubmission is easy if you wish to resubmit the same URL and information again.  Your site details are already stored in our database and do not need to be re-entered by our submission team. We pass this saving on to you.

I don't see my site listed in the engines after a submission. Why?
We submit your site to the engines. No one can actually place you on the search engines. What we do is just like what you would do if you went to each engine and added your URL through the browser. The information gets submitted to the engine for processing. Once it is submitted, we cannot control how it is handled or processed. This is a numbers game. Some sites will never list you. Some will take months. Some will be immediate.

I keep submitting my site over and over, but it never gets listed, or is only listed for a short period. Why?
You have probably been banned. Over-submit your site and the engines *WILL*BAN*YOU*. They will tag you as a spammer. Be a good netizen and don't spam. 123SubmitMe.com is a great weapon in the marketing war, but in the wrong hands it can backfire on you.

Should I submit all of my web pages ?
Only if you want to be banned from the engines. The big engines will spider your site. Over-submitting will only get people angry at you. Just submit your home page. Be creative, not offensive.

How does 123submitMe.com know when a search engine has changed or moved, and does it definitely get received when it says its been received.
Sites go down all the time, they move pages, and change form actions on a regular basis.  We cannot guarantee that every site will work.  However, we constantly remove sites and add new ones to our indexes.  We update our indexes once every week or two, always removing dead ones, and adding new ones.  All you do is submit your site information to us, and we do the dirty work of updating our indexes!

This is also why our index currently has more than 1500 sites.

No submission service can tell if your link has actually been added, since in most cases the engine accepts the submission, then goes into some process before it is added to the site.  In some cases this can be weeks, and in some cases they won't even accept your submission.  However, 123SubmitMe.com does do some level of checking.  It will only consider a submission to be successful if the engine being submitted to responds to the submission with no errors.   So if a site is down, our system reports a failure.  If the cgi, perl or whatever program the processes the submission does not respond, or does not accept 123SubmitMe.com's input, our system reports a failure.  All of the failures go into a 'Failed Submission List', and the reason for the failure is written to an error log. If the same site continues to fail the site is researched for corrections or omission from our index.

When we see that an engine continually fails for several weeks, we take it out of our indexes.   For this reason, in a typical update, we might remove 40 engines, and add 50 new ones.

Do I have to put in a full URL, or is www.mycompany.com ok?
It is always best to use a full URL (without the http://), such as www.mycompany.com/home.htm. Some directories look for the full URL.  123SubmitMe.com automatically inserts the HTTP://.

Why does the submission fail for some engines?
There are so many reasons an engine might fail, that it is impossible to list them here.  Usually, though, it is because there is a problem with the connection between us and the engine's site, or there is a misconfiguration problem at the site.  It could also be that the engine no longer exists.  Our system automatically retries failed submissions three times before reporting a failure.

Why does 123SubmitMe.com only support 18 keywords?
First off, keep in mind that the vast majority of the sites that accept submissions don't even accept keywords, so 123SubmitMe.com does not submit *any* keywords to those. However, those that do accept them, rarely even support the full 18 keywords 123SubmitMe.com offers. Make sure that you put the most appropriate keywords first.

The major search engines do not accept the keywords you enter in the 123SubmitMe.com interface. Instead, they spider your site and check for meta tags. Again, anything more than 18 is overkill there, too.

I'm getting spam mail after using using your service. Why?
123SubmitMe.com submits the data that each submission site requests. When a submission site requests the E-Mail address, 123SubmitMe.com gives it the E-Mail address you entered on the Submission Order Form. We cannot control how the e-mail address is used from that point forward. That e-mail address will be placed on some of the link sites where Spam Spiders can get it. Some of the submission sites may also be using the list of gathered e-mail addresses for their own promotions.... Hence you receive SPAM. 123SubmitMe.com does not make lists available to anyone at any price.
