123SubmitMe.com gathers your critical business information one time and submits it to all the major Online Yellow Pages, Search Engines, industry directories and 411 directory assistance so you can easily be found when customers are looking for your service.
Question: Don’t Some of These Sites Allow Me to Load My Information for Free?
Answer:
There are dozens of important directory sites that you would have to send this information to and the process can take many hours. Many important venues such as 411 Directory Assistance, Mobile phones and GPS Navigation devices have no way at all for users to submit data. We set the price low enough that it is cost effective for the time of even a small business. We also have to manually load the information if a directory does not take it electronically.
Question: Can I Control Where My Company is Listed?
Answer:
123SubmitMe.com is works with vendors who provide the underlying databases to the publishers, so it is not possible to pick and choose the sites to which your business is submitted. We only work with reputable directories and search engines though. Our goal is to make your information available to all legitimate Search Engines and Directories in order for your business listing to be universally distributed.
Question: How Soon Will My Information Start Appearing?
Answer:
You should allow 60 days. Some directories will change the information within days or weeks, but others do not refresh their data for a month or two. We cannot control that, but we can assure you we will make the data available to the publishers and database vendors as quickly as their schedules permit. (Note: All listings subject to phone verification to validate business name as submitted and location address.)
Question: What Contacts Will be Made for Verification?
Answer:
Your listing is first verified against databases of public records of businesses. There would be no action required on your part and there will be no direct contact for this. However, you should expect to receive a call from infoUSA Express Update and possibly other distributors and publishers. This is merely to confirm your phone and address information. You are under no pressure to purchase any additional products.
For Comprehensive Verification, we will first conduct a search for your business against a wide array of public and credit records. Usually 95% of businesses are matched this way and require no further contact. For those few that cannot be verified, you will receive a call or email from our partner Edentify which will attempt to corroborate your information with other business and government records.
Question: What Happens If I Stop Paying for the 123SubmitMe.com Service?
Answer:
If you cancel your service, or stop payment on your monthly billing, your record (business listing) will be removed from the”active” file is provided to all directories. Different sites and distribution partners will treat deactivated listings in different ways according to their policies. Some may keep the listings active for a short time and some may delete the record completely.
Question: How Often Can I Make Changes to My Submitted Business Listing?
Answer:
As often as you wish. This is covered by the monthly fee. It is important to note though that directories will not update the information regularly. This is not a venue for promoting “weekly specials” or other data that changes frequently. This is your core business information including business facts such as name, address and telephone number.
Question: What Limits Exist on My Business Description? Length? Content?
Answer:
We use Google as the benchmark. They permit 200 characters (including spaces) for descriptions. Anything longer than that would not appear in your listing. Descriptions must be plain text, no special characters like trademark signs, HTML code or links. Preferably your description should be a clear representation of what your business does and should not contain advertising content.
Question: Will Every Directory Use All of the Information I submit?
Answer:
No. Most directories will use only the data elements that they typically publish. Some only publish basic data such as phone number and address, but is becoming more common for them to publish the data you provide.
Question: Can I Submit Photos with My Business Listing?
Answer:
Yes! In order to distribute images effectively though, we only accept links to images (rather than image files). This is advantageous to our customers as it allows them to keep the same file name, but upload new images without having to resubmit photos indivdually. This way you can control your images and always keep them up to date. We use Google’s image guidelines:
* Each linked photo must be smaller than 1MB.
* Each linked photo must be under 1024 x 1024 pixels.
* Linked photos must be in one of these formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP
